The Earth and the Heavens are Being Shaken and it Will Get Worse

“Whose voice then shook the earth: but now he hath promised, saying, Yet once more I shake not the earth only, but also heaven.” -Heb 12:26 (KJV)

So the Rev 12 sign called by the YouTube prognosticators has come and gone (more or less) and nothing has happened such as the rapture. Some are trying to cover their misspoken tracks of prophecy by glossing it over with mumbo jumbo. The real point is they were wrong and should not have been dogmatic about what was going to happen. People through the ages have assigned dates and times to such Biblical events as the rapture, the second coming of Christ and the end of the world. They all were wrong and did not fully read and study their Bibles. For no dates are given to mankind; signs yes.

So what do we do now? What should we be thinking? Where is the depth of our faith now?

Folks, don’t rely on anyone but the Lord through His word and His Holy Spirit to guide you into His truth. Put your faith in Him and not flesh, not a man, not men regardless of who they are. We as Christians must focus on the Lord and Him only. Our faith must be steadfast in Him and Him alone for He is the author of our faith (Heb 12:2) and we must trust in His word immutably. We can listen to others but always return to His word and prove what they say against what He tells us in the Bible (Acts 17:11).

Now concerning the signs… We had some big ones in 2014-2015 – the Blood Moons. They meant something based on where they fell on the Jewish calendar and what happened in the past to the Jewish nation and people. All is not clear about what all they meant but may be in the days ahead. The total solar eclipse of Aug 21, 2017, indeed meant something for it split the US in half in its travel. A warning from God? Signs in nature to return to Him? I would say yes! Why? Look at what’s happened since then in the US and the world.

Total solar eclipse, massive hurricanes – Harvey and Irma, cyclones hitting China and Japan, out of control fires in western US and other parts of world, huge earthquakes in Mexico, and Japan, 5 massive X-class solar flares, and now volcanoes are starting to roar.

“There will be signs in sun and moon and stars, and on the earth dismay among nations, in perplexity at the roaring of the sea and the waves, 26 men fainting from fear and the expectation of the things which are coming upon the world; for the powers of the heavens will be shaken”.-Luke 21:25 (NASB)

The entire globe is faced with seemingly supernatural shaking or convulsions. Nature is turning disastrous, deadly and very expensive. Something strange seems to be going on Biblically. For the Lord says that in the last days He would shake the heavens and the earth. So is this happening now? I believe yes it is. Why? Because people, including professing Christians don’t seem to care about the Lord. Oh yeah, many go through the Sunday morning ritual of going to church, giving the Lord lip service but their hearts are far from Him. Most don’t care about their sin and few repent. And how many professing Christians take the time to be alone with the Lord in prayer and the seeking of His face? Friends, He wants us to be totally surrendered to Him in everything we do 24×7, not just one or 2 days a week. He wants 100% of us, not 80 or 90 but 100%.

“Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.” -Luke 21:36 (KJV)

He told us to watch – He commanded us to watch – for signs in the heavens and the earth and to be alert and ready to stand before Him. But are we? Do we even care? Are we paying attention or do we scoff and mock at these things? And do we read and study our Bible sincerely and regularly? This is a litmus test for all of us to evaluate where our faith is in the Lord God Almighty. What does your test reveal?

So what’s next? Now is the time to be ready to stand before the Lord at any time. Now is the time to repent of our sin and amend our ways. We don’t just focus on the rapture; we must focus on our own personal rapture called our death. It could occur anytime so we must be ready anytime. Ready in our faith, our love for others, our love for God. Ready to share His Good News of the free gift of salvation to any and to all. And always cognizant of our sin, ready to repent of the things that hinder our faith.

Eternity is a long, long time and there is no reprieve or release from it once you get there.
