Bible Prophecy Commentary: Earthquakes –
The Lord has told us in the Gospels that there would be great earthquakes in various places in the last-to-the-last days – before He returns. Certainly a major quake in southern Africa would qualify as a "diverse" place.
"There will be great earthquakes, and in various places famines and pestilences. And there will be terrors and great signs from heaven." -Luke 21:11 (ESV)
Earthquakes are but one of the signs but there are more: famines, pestilences and great signs and terrors from heaven. I firmly believe these will be like nothing the earth has ever experienced before. Like nothing mankind has ever seen before. Folks, it will be bad, very bad. It will get increasingly worse as the days progress. I will not water this down; the truth of the Gospel needs to be spoken. I will not withhold scriptural truth from anyone. These signs are coming to warn us of the Lord's return and our need to get right with Him.
Friends, are you ready and prepared to meet the Lord? Do you believe in the Lord Jesus Christ as your Savior? Have you called upon His name? Have you confessed your sin and then repented (this is a daily necessity). Does your sin before a Holy and Righteous God bother you? I would challenge all of us to think on these things carefully. Reexamine our lives [daily] (2 Cor 13:5) to see if we are in the faith and if there be any wicked way within us – Psa 139:24.

"Therefore you also must be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect." -Matt 24:44 (ESV)
I urge you all to be ready at anytime. You see we have no guarantees we'll live even past our next heartbeat. Get ready and be ready!!
