Bible Prophecy Commentary: God Controls the Weather and Can Speak Through It –
Extraordinary weather extremes are ramping up. The heavens are proclaiming the glory of the Lord. Friends, are you awake or sleeping?
The Lord instructs us to keep watch in Luke 21:34-36 and this we must do. If you claim to be a Christian and are not looking for the appearance of His coming, keeping watch for the signs He has outlined in His word, you are not obeying His commands. It also would be a good time to reassess your faith… (2 Cor 13:5) In who or what is it in? Are you anxiously waiting for the Lord's return? – Heb 9:28.
"But watch yourselves lest your hearts be weighed down with dissipation and drunkenness and cares of this life, and that day come upon you suddenly like a trap. 35 For it will come upon all who dwell on the face of the whole earth. 36 But stay awake at all times, praying that you may have strength to escape all these things that are going to take place, and to stand before the Son of Man." -Luke 21:34-36 (ESV)
Friends, the Lord has used the weather to punish the sin of mankind many times in the Old Testament. How about Noah? A great flood! He used His weather – nature – to judge the unrepentant sinfulness and wickedness of man. You know He has and will do the same things again in the age in which we live. Read about the Trumpet and Bowl judgments in the Book of Revelation. Do we think that He is not in the storms and tornadoes, earthquakes, volcanoes?
Please, I urge you to discover Almighty God, who He is and how He does things for it's a terrible thing to fall in the hands of the Living God – Heb 10:31.
Also, consider the following verse found in the first chapter of Proverbs. Think He doesn't bring calamitous weather to this globe…? For calling out and being constantly rejected, for lack of the fear of God in men's hearts, for not seeking His counsel? Please reconsider…
"Because I have called, and ye refused; I have stretched out my hand, and no man regarded; 25- But ye have set at nought all my counsel, and would none of my reproof: 26- I also will laugh at your calamity; I will mock when your fear cometh; 27- When your fear cometh as desolation, and your destruction cometh as a whirlwind; when distress and anguish cometh upon you. 28- Then shall they call upon me, but I will not answer; they shall seek me early, but they shall not find me: 29- For that they hated knowledge, and did not choose the fear of the Lord: 30- They would none of my counsel: they despised all my reproof. 31- Therefore shall they eat of the fruit of their own way, and be filled with their own devices." -Prov 1:24-31 (KJV)
