Bible Prophecy Commentary: Drugs Are Killing Americans –
A once beloved America and Godly nation is now being transformed into a nation of drugged, callous, insensitive people. Some would call them 'zombies'. I would call most deceived by the enemy of mankind's soul who is called the Devil. Satan is having a field day deceiving people and causing many (Christians included) to succumb to his methods of deception which if not unchecked will produce apathetic and cold-hearted addicts. This will be a hard pill to swallow for some but the majority of Americans and for that matter any others (unless, of course, you are in severe pain) have been hooked on mind-altering 'zombie' meds and most don't even know it. It makes them feel good and to many pleasure these days is everything.
As a result and in many cases this causes people to kill others because of the mind numbing drugs they have taken. They have been grossly deceived and have lost their sense of real reality living from pill to pill. And if they can't get their meds they become troubling and difficult. This friends is a tragedy to say the least but it is prophesied – Rev 9:21 (below). For the majority on these drugs they are plainly hooked and for most it's almost too late to break it off. But let me ask this: how many have sincerely turned to Jesus Christ in faith allowing Him to heal the hurt and whatever makes them take these mind-altering drugs? How many even want to? Yes, some very serious questions for some very serious times we are living in.
In these last days people will not want to repent of their sins but instead will opt for the 'feel good' method of existence … drugs, alcohol, idols, porn, etc! In Rev 9:21 the Greek transliteration of the word 'sorceries' is pharmakeia which means the use of administering of drugs, poisoning, sorcery or magical arts, witchcraft, medications. Some drugs can be good if taken properly but others can be extremely deadly. Today, the abuse and unnecessary use of drugs is a major problem in America. But how many will see this and let it sink deep into their being understanding what these things are doing to their mind, body, soul and spirit? How many will throw them away and turn (sincerely) to Christ for healing and deliverance? Probably, not many for their addiction is now truly ingrained in their being. If you know of someone that is hooked on drugs, pray for them that the Lord God Almighty can break the chain of their addiction and set them free. The truth in the knowledge of Christ will set them free – John 8:32.
