Bible Prophecy Commentary: Israel and Gog/Magog –

Some believe Russia will lead the coalition of forces against Israel in the prophesied Gog/Magog war described in great detail in Eze 38 and 39. It would seem Russia's Putin may be after power in kind of a subtle way as evidenced in Syria right now. Many Bible Prophecy scholars believe that this Gog/Magog war will be composed of a Russian/Islamic coalition of forces will come against Israel in a war that will have a astonishing ending. The Lord God Almighty says He will put hooks into the jaw of the "prince of Gog" and draw him/them out. Many have speculated on what this "hooks in the jaw" could mean. Could it be power and prestige or could it be oil? Oil brings power, wealth and control. Is this what Gog is after and will turn him against Israel? I firmly believe that this prince of Meshech and Tubal is an evil demonic prince that controls these land/s.

Once Russia has swept up [and has control] of the Middle East in terms of Syria, Iran, Iraq, Yemen, Turkey and yes, even perhaps Saudi Arabia will he then be pulled towards capturing the oil-rich Israel? Time will tell as these are only speculations right now; so we should keep our focus on Russia and Putin and what is going on in the ME.
