Bible Prophecy Commentary – Lots of Bad News but what's the Bible Say?
How often do you read your Bible? Do you even have one? If you read and study the Bible you will know that the Lord will return again and the signs of His returning are becoming more and more visible. The news is scary and should be concerning to those that want to know what's going on. To those that don't' care, well, so be it for them. I know many of those folks.
As the days draw closer to the Lord's return the earth and mankind will face many problems, many calamities, much heartache. People will become more hateful and brutal – Matt 24:10; 2 Tim 3:1-5. Christian persecution will increase – Matt 24:9. Wars and rumors of war will increase – Matt 24:6. False Christ's and eventually the Antichrist will conquer many people – Rev 6:1-2. Financial difficulties will arise most drastically in the world – Rev 6:5-6. Much death will occur – one quarter of earth's population will die – Rev 6:7-8. And even more terrifying events will occur – read Rev 6-19. This is not to scare but to help you prepare! Ultimately, our hope should be in Christ and not in this world goods, wealth or resources. He is returning and for those that believe in Him and are looking for His arrival – Heb 9:28. This will be the end of suffering and the beginning of living eternally with our beloved Savior and Lord.
As we can see right now – employment is down, food prices are rising, terrorism rising, persecution rising, rumors of war rising, the global economy debt bubble is about to burst, and America is in debt beyond their eyeballs. So why is all this happening? Sin, sin, sin! Mankind has rejected God's only begotten Son – Jesus Christ – and not repented of their sin. As 1 Cor 10:11 states we, living now, are to learn from the events of the OT – what the ancients went through so as not to repeat it. The patterns of judgment have been repeated many times in the OT and so will be again. God is the same yesterday, today and forever – Heb 13:8. It's time for the skeptics and head-in-the-sanders to wake up and examine what is going down on this earth (yes, this includes you church pastors and leaders). People must know scripture to discern between the true and the false. Folks, you don't have to believe in what I write, read it for yourself and find out the truth. But read it! I am only a watchman warning of what the Bible says is coming.
Are you right with Almighty God today? If not, why not?
