Bible Prophecy Commentary: Extreme Weather – God’s Billboard:
The facts of these unusual off-the-chart weather extremes cannot be denied. So why do you think it’s happening? Let me list some verses from the OT prophet Amos and see how they might relate to what America and the rest of the world are and have been going through weather wise for several years now.
Notice what is listed below – famine, drought, crop damage or food shortages, pestilences (viruses) war, destruction. God uses the weather to get man’s attention. Some get it but others are blind and ignorant and instead of returning to the Lord they wallow continually in their sin and unfaithfulness and reject Him. Therefore, the judgments of God come and continue. Will He keep striving with man in this? No.
As we read in the Book of Revelation, His judgments are coming in mass and many will be caught unaware. Have you sought the Lord and ‘returned’ to Him? If not … why not? He loves us with limitless love and His mercy extends seemingly without end but folks, He does have a severity/judgment side (Rom 11:22) and will demand penalty for our sin if we don’t accept Him through His Son’s death, burial and resurrection. His Son is Jesus Christ. Have you accepted Him thereby receiving the *free* gift of eternal life with Him once you depart this life? If not … why not?
“And I also have given you cleanness of teeth in all your cities, and want of bread in all your places: yet have ye not returned unto me, saith the LORD.
7- And also I have withholden the rain from you, when there were yet three months to the harvest: and I caused it to rain upon one city, and caused it not to rain upon another city: one piece was rained upon, and the piece whereupon it rained not withered.
8- So two or three cities wandered unto one city, to drink water; but they were not satisfied: yet have ye not returned unto me, saith the LORD.

11- I have overthrown some of you, as God overthrew Sodom and Gomorrah, and ye were as a firebrand plucked out of the burning: yet have ye not returned unto me, saith the LORD.
12- Therefore thus will I do unto thee, O Israel: and because I will do this unto thee, prepare to meet thy God, O Israel.
13- For, lo, he that formeth the mountains, and createth the wind, and declareth unto man what is his thought, that maketh the morning darkness, and treadeth upon the high places of the earth, The LORD, The God of hosts, is his name. ” -Amos 4:6-13 (KJV)
