Bible Prophecy Commentary – Are We Close to Some Major Troubles :
I was amazed today to find out how bad the world is becoming, I mean across the board. Things are really messed up! From Ebola, to plunging oil prices, to oil wars, to “Hell Friday” decline in sales, to Russia preparing for a possible war, US debt rising, Russia-China relations stronger, apostates in religion … it just keeps going. The world is getting much darker, it seems, by the day and I haven’t even touched on anything concerning the extreme weather issues that are raging/occurring all over the planet.
“If a trumpet is blown in a city, will not the people be afraid? If there is calamity in a city, will not the Lord have done it?” -Amos 3:6 (NKJV)
Folks, something seems to be amiss, something is wrong, there are too many issues plaguing the world. There seems to be some major shakings going on in human affairs: from financial to societal to political to geopolitical, governments, terrorists, wars, etc – Hag 2:6; Heb 12:26-27. Yet we know the Bible prophesy’s major problems like these to take place in the latter days before the Lord returns.
How well do you know your Bible, how well do you know what to prepare for, have you been paying attention to world news and events? Does your church teach you about Bible Prophecy? Approx 1/3 of the Bible is prophecy; if this is the case wouldn’t you think that our Christian leaders should be preaching it from their pulpits? Are they? Why aren’t they? Ask them! Implore them to start teaching next Sunday.
Many people sitting in the pews each week thinking they are secure in their Christendom because they attend church may be being deceived. Going to church does not make you a Christian, with a reservation to heaven, just like standing in a garage does not make you a car. Many will fall away in the last days because their faith is not been secured in Christ – Matt 24:10; 1 Tim 4:1 – because they don’t know Him for they haven’t been taught exactly who Almighty God is. The times may get really hard, harsh and terrible (2 Tim 3:1-5) very soon. Will you be able to say without question, that your faith in Christ will see you through any situation?
Folks, these things are what God’s word says not me. Do you know the Lord right now? Have you a personal relationship with Him? Do you pray every day, many times per day? Think on these things.
