Bible Prophecy Commentary – Advancing Signs:
The Lord told us that when His coming was near there would be distresses like birth pains manifested in unusual events upon mankind, and in the sun, moon and stars, in the weather with men’s hearts failing them in fear of what’s coming on the earth – Matt 24, Luke 17 and 21. Nations would be perplexed and there would be wars all over – Luke 21. Pestilences would increase, killing perhaps millions – Rev 6. Wild beasts would also devour men – Rev 6. We are seeing these with the radical animals of ISIS, Hamas, Hezbollah, Boko Haran, and other radical terrorist groups. They are these wild beasts.
Also, our Lord said the days preceding His arrival would be like the days of Lot and Noah which were filled with rampant lawlessness, wickedness, hate, homosexuality, etc., (Gen 6:5; Jer 23:14; 2 Pet 2:7-8; Jude 1:7) yet people would still live their lives like nothing was wrong. No worries, nothing up. Marrying and giving in marriage, eating drinking, making merriment. Just having fun, no worries. Casual, complacent, lethargic, apathetic. Yet in the face of many calamities, chaos, corruption and confusion a spiritual darkness is spreading like a raging wildfire over mankind. But … who can see it? Not many. It will be like Noah’s time; he spent years building the ark and warning the people and they plain didn’t heed his message. See any difference today? And then the rain came and they all perished. Not many preachers are teaching this stuff, not many are warning their flocks – all is just a-ok, peace and safety, no problems. Everything is just hunky-dory, let’s just focus on our agenda for teaching God’s word – our plans; we’ll leave what God commands us to do out. Friends, many, many people will fall away from the faith in these last days because they were not [spiritually] prepared by their pastors, elders, priests and bishops -1 Tim 4:1. There is coming much heartache to many.
Folks, one day, in the Lord’s timing, and it could be very close, His wrath will descend (Rev 6:12-17) and many will be caught blind-sighted because they did not watch, stay alert and heed the signs of the times – the Lord’s coming. Can I ask where you are at today? Are you watching for His coming and the signs He said would precede it? Are you ready to meet Him? Please consider these words carefully as our life on earth will end but eternity has no end.
Keep alert, keep watch, keep your eyes on Israel and keep in prayer.
