My Bible Prophecy Commentary – False Teaching and False Prophets:

The Lord tells us in Matt 24:5,11; Mark 13:5-6; Luke 21:8 that there will be many false Christs, prophets and teaching in the last days before His return. Notice He says this many times. Remember, anytime scripture mentions something multiple times it’s best if we strongly pay attention. These times mark the beginning of sorrows and will usher in much deceit and false teaching not from the word of God.  The Pope has carefully chosen his words on this topic and we would be wise to follow where he leads with future decisions or comments. This is why it is so important to know your Bible – read it, study it, know it. Today, Christians do not know what God’s word says so being deceived will be easy – hey, Satan knows this, he’s setting people up for massive deception. Make no mistake, it’s coming – Rev 13.

The Pope is the declared ‘vicar’ (Latin for ‘instead of’) of Christ or supposedly the substitute for Him while the Pope maintains his office while on the earth. Supposedly, in this role, the Pope has the same power and authority as Christ over the church.This is false teaching. Jesus Christ requires no priestly substitute – Heb 7:11-28. But many are buying into this lie. Do not be deceived – know your Bible and know it good. Read it and study it for many will fall away from the faith in these last days. It’s happening now.

Keep alert, keep watch, keep your eyes on Israel and keep in prayer.
