Bible Prophecy Commentary:
What may be the reason that volcanoes seem to be increasing? More frequent reporting? More seismic activity? Or perhaps a sign that the Lord's second coming is near and the accompanying judgments. Consider and think strongly on these things:
Nah 1:5 – The mountains quake at him, and the hills melt, and the earth is burned at his presence, yea, the world, and all that dwell therein.
Ex 20:18 – And all the people saw the thunderings, and the lightnings, and the noise of the trumpet, and the mountain smoking: and when the people saw it, they removed, and stood afar off.
Psa 114:7 – Tremble, thou earth, at the presence of the Lord, at the presence of the God of Jacob;
Psalm 18:7 – Then the earth shook and trembled; the foundations also of the hills moved and were shaken, because he was wroth.
Jer. 10:10 – But the LORD is the true God, he is the living God, and an everlasting king: at his wrath the earth shall tremble, and the nations shall not be able to abide his indignation.
